2022 and BEYOND to a new era

The rental market is constantly evolving, and Leasera right along with it. It can be difficult for all of us to keep up with the latest trends and technologies. It hasn’t been easy. 2022 was hard on everyone. Despite this, we witnessed incredible transformation all around us as a team, as well as within each of us individually. We look back with warm hearts and a sense of pride, thanks to groundbreaking achievements.

One of the most significant milestones achieved was the launch of Leasera’s category making rental product. Rental Ecosystem Management software, appropriately named REM, quickly became a gift that has kept on giving. The most incredible factor we can possibly outline is the fact that more than 15% of our profits find their way back to our renter community. It didn’t require our property management clients to ‘pay up’. It was just virtuous economics, and it flat out works when you remain uncompromising, not just in how we build but in how we partner as well. This changes the landscape of all we do to empower a one-of-a-kind ecosystem.

Today’s property managers seek more affordable, comprehensive management tools that support not only property operations but also consumers and the community. This was an epic move that is producing dividends for the industry. We are bringing on partnerships that will improve our output at a rate we could have only imagined before.

All thanks to the catalyst that is REM, we made history as the first company to allow renters to use loyalty points towards booking a hotel. This innovative program gives renters even more flexibility and control over their travel plans, making it easier than ever to plan a getaway.

But we didn’t stop there. We were also the first company to allow renters to donate their loyalty points to affordable housing initiatives, giving them the opportunity to make a positive impact on their community. And, we were the first to allow renters to invest their points in their long term future, giving them a way to build financial stability and security.

The loyalty program itself is revolutionary in its applicability. Moving forward, consumer renters understand that everything is tied into an appreciation model when renting through Leasera. This makes being part of an ecosystem more worthwhile than ever. We can’t wait to continue building meaningful partnerships and greater opportunities for empowerment and upward mobility. These partners will also have a built in tool for creating their own loyalty among the customers and consumers that they work with.

Overall, 2022 was a landmark year for Leasera, as we made new venture friends and accomplished a number of firsts that will help shape the future of the rental market. That said, even the boundaries we’ve pushed thus far may pale in comparison to the ones we remove in 2023.

In 2023, we will focus on building an open ecosystem and forming new partnerships to further redefine the rental market. We are dedicated to removing the invisible ceiling that held us back from net operating income, service, and opportunity.

One of the ways we will be doing this is by partnering with leading technology companies to open up solutions that were formerly exclusive to enterprise property managers. These partnerships will allow us to offer a wide range of services, from data accessibility, to contactless move-ins and smart home technology, as well as financial tools that will accelerate upward mobility for both our property managers and consumers. By opening up our marketplace, we’ll also offer a more affordable and accessible ecosystem of service providers that will be better positioned to offer below market rate solutions directly through the manager’s or renter’s portal.

In addition to our partnerships, we will continue to focus on building an open ecosystem of tools and services. This means that we will be working with a variety of different companies and organizations to create a seamless experience for property managers, service professionals, and renters. Whether it’s partnering with moving companies to make the relocation process easier, or working with insurance providers to offer unique coverage for renters, we are dedicated to creating a comprehensive and convenient experience for customers.

Another key aspect of our focus on an open ecosystem is our commitment to transparency. We believe that transparency is crucial in building trust with our customers, and we will be working to make all of our policies and procedures as clear and straightforward as possible.

Overall, our focus on an open ecosystem, continuing to build a team of human beings that truly care about a better future, and new partnerships in 2023 will allow us to offer our customers a rental experience that is unparalleled in our market. We are excited to see how these efforts will take the rental market forward, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
